Manon Sander

Growing up in Bavarian villages and later metropolitan Berlin, Manon has always been inspired by the places around her.
During a decade and a half of painting murals professionally in Chicago and studying oil painting under the tutelage of well known Californian painters in San Francisco and southern California, she developed her own distinct style, cherished by collectors and students alike.

In August 2010 she moved to Sarasota, Florida. Having always been drawn to water and feeling a strong connection to the ocean and the outdoors her paintings took on a whole new lease of life. Manon’s paintings are cheerful, joyful, vibrant and capture the effect of light on objects and life in a way that makes her work a real joy to feast your eyes on.

Painting in oil, oftentimes from life, marking impressions down in thick juicy brush strokes, aiming to capture the essence and the light on her subject matter and the feelings it evokes in her.

Joseph Mattus

Prior even to language, Joseph’s experience and understanding of the world was visual. Pictures came to symbolize the clearest representations of that world. Drawing and painting were to be his most fundamental means of expression.

Joseph paints using classical techniques reminiscent of the old masters. His poignant images take everyday objects and transforms them into something mystical. His artwork reflects how the act of painting can be a spiritual practice for the artist.

Having studied at the Grand Central Atelier under Jacob Collins, Scott Waddell, Colleen Berry, Joshua LaRock, Edward Minoff, Justin Wood, Will St. John, and Devin Cecil Wishing. Joseph obtained his BFA from University of the Arts.
